Charles grew up in New York where at age 23 he had a life-changing personal encounter with Jesus. Due to this encounter Charles began a life of service that has included being the pastor of four congregations, serving three tours as a U.S. Navy Chaplain and becoming an author and counselor. The heart of Dr. Kollar's message is a joy-filled faith and a life that focuses on God’s possibilities as already achieved.

Charles received his undergraduate degree from Northwest University, a Master of Divinity from the Assembly of God Theological Seminary and his Doctorate at Fuller Theological Seminary. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist. Charles and his wife Dawn have three grown children and ten amazing grandchildren.
